Truth

And at some point in your life you have to ask yourself- Do I value my pride more than truth? What does all the pride or short lived pleasure matter if we arrive at failure because we are not paying attention to truth?

And in this I am speaking about the pursuit of truth, not some closely guarded secret that I want to lead you into. To have you chase the details as a hound in the hunt... constantly sniffing out clues. It is the pursuit of truth, in and of itself that matters so severely to life. Truth sustains us, truth guides and protects us. We must hold all allegiance  to truth or we will lose some amount of life or freedom.

This passionate pursuit inside of us all... we must cultivate the need. We must rigorously examine the results of thinking. We must objectify the truth with itself constantly. We must judge truth without emotion and be willing at every turn to accept defeat in place of truth.

This is the virtuous path. This I hold in high regard, and respect those who follow it. When we admire truth above all else, we are free to live life.
