Non Violence

Non violence as a tool for peace will always be the preferred method of ending conflict. This is primarily because we as human beings understand, as part of our very nature that the highest ideal, above and beyond all others is human life. Let us not be in argument about this, it is such a trivial thing to talk about anything else as the sole concern, except for our lives and the ones we love. Anyone responding to such an argument will only receive it with distaste. It is laughable, by any and all means to think that someone can value something more than life. Obviously the priorities for that person are quite confused.

So while we are in agreement, that life is the highest ideal, and that non violence as a tool for ending conflict honors the ideal of life... There are times when we absolutely must, without reserve become violent in the defense of ourselves and the ones we love. The very simple fact of the matter, is that all people do not abide by the social contract. Not all people are willing to respect your life as an equal entity. And if, these morally deficient people cannot respect your life, what makes you believe that they respect your peaceful offerings to talk and resolve issues?

An evil man will take in any amount they can, the life, freedom and security of those who will not defend themselves from him. To deserve life, simply as a consequence of survival... We must be able to defend ourselves with violence as a tool to sustain life. Our reward is to keep living.

Any argument against this is inconsequential. Stating that there are no circumstances in which violence can be considered necessary means that your life will soon be over. You are prophesying your own death. On the other hand, relying on others to defend you while you refuse to defend yourself is equivalent of saying "I value my life more than yours", you are in violation of the social contract by different means.

Everything kills as a way of life. Even your own existence, as you read this means that there are resources that have been dedicated to your life that could have been allocated in other places. Examine nature, by which we owe the example of all success. Doesn't life for the gazelle mean death for the lioness and her cubs? Doesn't life for the pine tree mean less nutrients in the soil and sunlight for other plants? Death and in turn violence is the way of life. It is the competition drive of all living things that sustains us.

As long as life remains the highest ideal, the conclusion is that violence in defense of life is paramount.
